Scenes from a Pig Roast

Jordie hosted a pig roast on his deck this past Saturday. I've never seen anything like it.


Here's the pig in action.


And my fixin's, waiting patiently.


But people got impatient. And Duncan brought marshmallows. And so we roasted them, underneath the roasting pig.


But eventually...

And there it is.


I couldn't help but think of this little guy, whom I met in Parksville a couple weeks back... and that this was probably his fate as well. But I hope we did the piggy's life justice by making him delicious in death. Or something less morbid-sounding.
