The last couple of days

Wednesday: I attended a book launch at The Gourmet Warehouse for Caren McSherry's new cookbook In a Pinch (beautifully designed by the Working Format team). It was catered by some great local chefs and fooditarians, including Ron Shewchuk, who made us pulled pork sandwiches, and seafood expert (and C Restaurant executive chef) Robert Clark.

Incidentally, these guys both also recently released some pretty great cookbooks, BBQ Secrets Deluxe (it really is deluxe) (and designed by the lovely Setareh Ashrafologhalai, whom I quoted in my previous post) and C Food, featuring otherworldly seafood sculpture photography by Hamid Attie. Anything else I can link to?! I am writing this while flying on an airplane.

Thursday: I ate a tofu Vietnamese sub. Also pictured: ReadyNAS server, flea spray and Swans wheat beer.
