Kingyo Izakaya

I ate these things with Max at Kingyo on Friday night:

Stone-grilled things: Beef tongue and Kobe beef with sesame oil, sesame seeds, salt, garlic, onion and lemon juice.

Kakuni Bibimbap: slowly stewed tender pork belly "Kakuni" & Korean-style pickles on "Koshihikari" rice in a sizzling stone bowl.

Pressed Mackerel Sushi: lightly seared marinated mackerel pressed sushi with mustard dressing. SO. GOOD. All of the above items should most definitely be eaten again ASAP.

Soft Shell Crab Salad: Spicy deep-fried soft shell crab on a bed of organic springs and Chinese cabbage topped with snap pea, garlic oil, lemon, kaiware, radish and soy-based dressing. Overall the food was exceptionally exceptional. Really a delicious night. I've lived next door to this place for a while without knowing how truly great it is.
