At the Libra Room on Commercial Drive, cocktails and martinis are named after astrological signs.
My first impulse was to order a Cancer Cocktail, but being a sucker for synthetic banana flavour, I opted for the Scorpio, pictured here: vodka, crème de banane, blue Curaçao & soda. Later I had an Aquarius martini: Frangelico, crème de cacao & espresso.
House Made Ricotta Ravioli for dinner: ragout of mushrooms with (powdery) Parmigiano-Regianno & parsley oil.
Later I had a caramel apple martini up the street at Fets.
And just to render those last few days of salad totally meaningless, I topped it off with a platter of tortilla chips with salsa.
I'm a SCORPIO!!! and Nadine is an AQUARIUS!! So, you should have had the CANCER martini also, just to round it out.. :-))))
