An ex-trumpet player sold me a bag of cotton candy on Denman Street. They have a cotton candy machine set up in front of the novelty shop, and a small bag is only ONE DOLLAR. But I bought a large bag for two dollars. It tasted burnt, like toasted marshmallows. Which are also delicious. It is by the way my plan to rent a cotton candy machine for my birthday.
Later we ate further down the street at Toratatsu: Ishiyaki seared scallop, mushroom & seaweed risotto, negitoro tuna tartare with avocado, green onions & garlic toast, and dragon rolls. REALLY GOOD.
Heart Toratatsu. Love the torch seared mackerel and scallops.
