Prosciutto Tortellini

I sautéed some shallots and garlic and mixed in a can of tomato chunks to go with the prosciutto tortellini that I got from Trader Joe's last weekend. There is no denying that prosciutto, especially when heated, has a weird, overpowering odour that's a little disturbing. It's not the kind of smell that makes you say, "Mmmm, what's for dinner?," but rather, "Hey, did they just open up a meat-rendering plant in the neighbourhood?"
